Fairfax School is an 11-19 Secondary School in Sutton Coldfield, north of Birmingham. The school was established in 1959.[1]
The school is in The Duke of Edinburgh's Award scheme and also holds an annual Eisteddfod[2] as well as other arts productions throughout the year. Establishment of the Eisteddfod can be traced back many years to the original foundation headmaster. There is a tradition of student extracurricular activity which may help the secondary School in academic league tables as well as its general reputation on which it thrives. The school is ranked as 18th in the West Midlands.[3]
